Overall Satisfaction with Adaptive Defense 360 / WatchGuard EPDR

Adaptive Defense 360 does appear to be constantly trying to improve the software. Unfortunately though we have had Adaptive Defense 360 cause serious issues on our customers' servers, making them no longer boot and be quite slow, as well as on customer workstations. Whenever we bought this to Adaptive Defense 360's attention recently, they would be more defensive than helpful with the issue we would be experiencing, and lacking in any attempt to investigate the issue and improve. At times, attempting to contact Panda is more difficult now under WatchGuard than it used to be, meaning when we raise these issues, we don't actually know if the issue has actually been raised. We've now moved over to the Malwarebytes solution, which I recommended and rolled out, and, Malwarebytes has picked up significantly more threats in our customers' infrastructure in the short time we've deployed it than Panda has at all.
  • User interface.
  • Zero-day attacks.
  • Scheduled scans directly from Web UI.
  • Support needs improvement.
  • Performance issues across many machines.
  • Blue-screening across many machines.
  • More support requests raised with our service desk (as an MSP).
We've recently changed over to Malwarebytes Oneview, and we've seen over 1000+ more detections from Malwarebytes than Panda Adaptive Defense 360.

From highest detection difference to lowest: 1 (Highest Difference). PUP, 2. Malware, 3. PUM, 4. Exploit, 5 (Lowest Difference). Ransomware (We had multiple ransomware detections when switching over, which is one of the most disappointing results, though this was only thankfully in the 10s).

Do you think Watchguard Endpoint Security delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Watchguard Endpoint Security's feature set?

No

Did Watchguard Endpoint Security live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Watchguard Endpoint Security go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Watchguard Endpoint Security again?

No

The user interface is pretty good and does show you the information you need to see, we, unfortunately, had multiple machines not even register on the management portal, which means they weren't reporting any threats which were found. The machines were still protected, but means we couldn't take further action or update policies when needed.
Adaptive Defense 360 did allow us to centrally manage many endpoints, though as previously mentioned did have issues where endpoints just would not show up on the central management portal, which means they were not showing if they were out-of-date if there were any recent detections (and by extension, false positives of business applications), and if any policies were applying to the devices.
I would say that Adaptive Defense 360 is less suitable for companies in its current state, I believe improvements in the support level received by Adaptive Defense 360, and in the specific feature set of Adaptive Defense 360 to make it more traditional, rather than trying to be massively separate from other anti-viruses to its own detriment.

Adaptive Defense 360 does work well in blocking and scanning applications that it hasn't seen before and which are unrecognized, but sometimes this stopped Microsoft's own massively used applications, only on certain machines and, wasn't showing in our management portal to resolve and allow.
