Overall Satisfaction with Adaptive Defense 360 / WatchGuard EPDR
Adaptive Defense 360 / WatchGuard EDPR plays a big role in the security infrastructure of our company's information system. It solves all our needs concerning protecting our endpoints from all menaces, involving viruses/trojans and other malware. Ransomware is also a big concern to us, but with the capabilities embedded in the software, we trust that we are more secure. It also helps us keep all the software of the endpoints updated with the help of the module patch management. Another great feature is the cloud management console, where we can analyse, deploy, manage all software updates and even implement security rules and website restrictions in a manner of minutes. We have to be honest; we just could not live without it anymore.
Pros
- Deployment of software updates to the endpoint, windows, and non-windows software
- Ransomware awareness and protection with detailed reports of events
- Restrict access to certain websites for a group of users/endpoints
- Active detection of menaces from the web
- Discovery and alert of endpoints not protected
- Comprehensive visualisation of the network infrastructure
- Reports showing all the security events occurred in the system
- Report automation
Cons
- Deployment of the software sometimes is hard to do in smartphones, too many steps
- Information of security events could be more detailed
- The ability to construct personalised reports would be a plus
- [...] The ability to make website URL and category viewing restrictions resulted in higher productive personnel and reduced the risks of infection.
- For the IT department, the centralised management console with all the information and tasks prepared to deploy to the endpoints helps us work more efficiently and faster.
- The ROI has been really good along [the] years, with a safer environment our employees work better and without stress, that translates in productivity.
Comparing Adaptive Defense 360 / WatchGuard EPDR against some of its competitors, one thing that jumps of is the simplicity to work with the Adaptive Defence 360 product. It's simple; it facilitates your life, helps you deploy and manage your endpoints in the organisation seamlessly, mainly the PC-based. Another plus point is its capability to adapt to new zero-day menaces and block programs/traffic that are a probable security problem. The cost is another positive factor; it provides you with a well-organised plan of licenses that makes the difference to the competitors.

Watchguard Endpoint Security Feature Ratings
Evaluating Adaptive Defense 360 / WatchGuard EPDR and Competitors
Yes - Adaptive Defense 360 / WatchGuard EPDR replaced AVG as our endpoint security solution. This new product has several advantages from AVG; it is easier to manage because [it] has a centralised management console in the cloud. It also has a more powerful security engine with features like adaptive prevention of menaces. It's also more light to the hardware of the endpoint, not slowing down the PC.
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Product Reputation
Product features were the main factor [in] the purchase decision. This is a really well-suited product with all the necessary tools to manage and protect our endpoints. Things like patch management to update all the software of the PC, adaptive defense to recognise new menaces, and website blocking by URL or category are a few of the tools that make the difference.
We really wouldn't change [anything] because it was a really good process. Since the contact with the vendor, the definition of [an] adequate solution to the implementation phase [...] all went well and according to our expectations. It's because of this good relationship that we continue with the product and do not what to change.
