Overall Satisfaction with Adaptive Suite

Sometimes, certain features or functions don't seem to react the way you'd expect. One time I was building a model with OfficeConnect and accidentally broke some of the formulas due to a simple row insert. It wasn't disastrous but felt like it could've been easier to figure out. Another thing is drilling down on understanding which vendors are driving what costs in our budgets.
Adaptive Suite is used by our Finance team as well as our external Accounting team. We primarily use Adaptive to model and plan. It is very helpful to have a central place where we can pull the latest financials, in various scenarios. It helps us budget and to keep track of how the company is performing.
  • The ability to create different scenarios.
  • The ability to export the files.
  • OfficeConnect is a useful way to pull the financials.
  • Drilling down on specific lines/cells.
  • OfficeConnect can be a little confusing for new users sometimes.
  • We've been using Adaptive Suite during our budgeting cycles and it's been helpful.
  • The negative, as I mentioned previously, is it's not as intuitive to find out what the drivers for expenses are right away.
Data quality and accuracy has been better. It's easy to pull the reports from Adaptive Suite than Quickbooks. Our external Accounting team seems to like using it for financial reporting. Overall, Adaptive Suite has been a good place to keep our financials and to trust that we are pulling the right information.
Adaptive Suite has overall been beneficial to my role. The user interface could be more friendly and aesthetically pleasing but for the most part, it does its job. I know where to go to find the reports I need and export with ease. There's never been errors and I trust the information I am given via Adaptive.
Adaptive is best whenever we need see financial statements -- we can easily scroll through and find the departments/scenarios that we are looking for.

Adaptive is less appropriate whenever we try to drill down to see why certain line items are high or low (for example, our "Online Software/Services" line item aggregates all our vendors into one total cost and it makes it difficult to identify the drivers right away).
