Overall Satisfaction with Adobe InDesign
We don't use Adobe InDesign all that often. We are in the process of creating some more in-depth content and are using it as a tool to lay that out. When we do use it, it's generally a tool that's used only by the Marketing department, that allows us to create e-books, articles, etc.
- It's great to layout e-books.
- If you're unable to use Illustrator, it's a great alternative to photoshop to create graphic content.
- Since I don't use it that often, I've never experienced anything that would need to be fixed, or noticed any needed functionality.
- Since we don't use it that often, but it's included with the other programs we use, it hasn't really had a positive or negative effect on our ROI.
InDesign is a very different program from both of these but can be used as an alternative in certain situations. I prefer InDesign solely based on the fact that it's very visual, however, I often find I need to use it in tandem with these Photoshop and Illustrator. Photoshop is much better if you are creating graphic elements from scratch or gifs, and Illustrator is great for graphic content as it's a vector program, so it scales better.
