Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now
ADP Workforce now is used for our team's payroll across all teams. This is integral to our team and from what I know, outperforms the alternatives. Without it, we wouldn't have a way to track payroll for tax preparation forms (W-2 and such). When it comes down to it, it's really just okay and I'm not super impressed. It feels very buggy at times and getting a hold of them is difficult. I'm not certain they even have a customer support team.
- Provides us with employee portals to view and track our pay stubs. While the portal may take you ages to figure out how to log in, it serves the basic necessities of being able to look at pay stubs and see how much is being taken out for taxes.
- Workforce now lets you set the number of allowances you need recorded on your taxes and taken out, as well as your marital status for tax purposes. It's nice to not have to bother our human resources department to set these.
- Having access to my pay stubs anywhere that I have internet [access] is pretty cool. If I ever need to know how much is coming out towards taxes It's only a few clicks away! No more paper!
- Okay, these guys need a stable product that isn't full of so many poor UI experiences. For instance, resetting your password with a password manager like Last Pass is a nightmare. Form filling is great in this aspect.
- This team also doesn't have a dedicated support team from what I know. There isn't a number provided to contact or a support email.
- It has some reliability issues. We had an employee switch their marrital tax info and save it. When tax season came, the W-2 had the wrong information in it.
- This frees up a lot of time for our HR department. They don't have to print out pay stubs and distribute them to employees or write checks. No way we'd be able to service 200 employees without it.
- On the other hand, workforce now has enough issues that HR still does a decent amount of helping employees set up their W-4 and proper employment information.
- We no longer have the need to waste ink, toner and paper! Paperless is fabulous. Record keeping is in the digital age for sure. Throw away your file cabinet.
As far as saving time goes, having a digital format for employee payments is game changing. If you are a business looking to ditch your file cabinets, printer, and checkbook, this is for you! This saves a whole lot of time. Direct deposit is one of those things that you can take for granted and would have a hard time functioning without. If your business is over 25 employees, get something like workforce now to take care of that. It will save you heaps of time and your employees heaps of time not depositing checks at the bank.
