Overall Satisfaction with Alteryx

We use Alteryx to enable decision-makers to access information that transforms our internal operations. This primarily functions as a tool for accessing our data lake and manipulating the data in a low-code format that can then either be directly output into reports for users to access, or to be used with Tableau where we build out dashboards for users to pick and choose views they want to see.
  • Little-to-no experience in coding required to use the platform
  • Structures workflow in an "easy to digest" manner
  • Access to plenty of tools and macros to get any job done quickly
  • Incredibly active community to help when problems come up
  • Control containers
  • Alteryx has upskilling tons of employees at my employer
Some of the errors that come up seem convoluted or don't immediately indicate that the real root of the problem is, however for the most part it always goes pretty smoothly.
Many in my organization have used their features, however I do not have much experience with them.

Empowering business-savvy employees to begin exploring their own data needs without a DS background is where Alteryx shines. I think for users who have more of a DS background, Alteryx may be a little big slower for them to accomplish the same work they could do with Python or R. It does make scheduling data runs/workflow sharing much easier though.
