Overall Satisfaction with Asana
We use Asana for most if not all of our project management, across the entire team. It helps us eliminate the awkwardness of having somebody accidentally out of the loop (which can happen when only using email or one-on-one instant messages), since we can just check on project development and updates at any time.
- Adding new tasks is intuitive, as simple as writing on paper — but online.
- I love that we can assign certain tasks to different or multiple people, since I'm sure that there are often several people working on 1 project.
- I like that there is a log saying who did what within the task, as in so and so changed the description. This is helpful when I can't remember what has been changed since I last checked a project.
- Today, I only found out that I can set a task to repeat by asking someone else. Unlike other features where I can figure it out immediately, this looked hidden in smaller text to the right of the usual due date box.
- I wish I could edit a comment (for simple typos or for clarity) instead of deleting it and then reposting an edited version. I can do that with the description, so why not with this too?
- Allow me to view a sorting option as a default, such as View By Due Date instead of the current default view of My Tasks. Or, allow me to view a certain project first (like a home page in your browser), instead of My Tasks.
- Positive: Easy to be up-to-date on a project and stay organized.
- Negative: We still end up using email and chat because you can't be on 1 browser tab all the time. Thus, sometimes a slower response time between team members than you'd think.
- Positive: Our meetings are more productive and organized because we all have a certain Asana project open and we just go down the list.

I have used Producteev very briefly for personal projects. I'd like to use it more but the team doesn't seem to want to stray from Asana. We do use Evernote, but mostly as a way to share articles with others on the team (instead of a mass email)... we don't use Evernote for to-do lists and such like we do with Asana. I do use Evernote for that for personal use but not as often as I use it for all kinds of note-taking.
