Overall Satisfaction with Ascentis HR

The support area is inconsistent. There are times when I've had issues and their representatives have been extremely helpful and was either able to correct the issue immediately or provided timely follow-up for when the issue would be resolved. Unfortunately there have been other times when I had a representative on the phone that was not able to assist at all or did not provide timely follow-up to my issue. It can be very frustrating especially when I am trying to meet a deadline and am not getting the responses or assistance that I need.
Our company uses Asccentis HR to manage employee information and our employees use it to update personal information and view their paycheck stubs. It has helped us reduce the amount of paper files and communication significantly. It also saves time when needing to update information or pull reports out of the system.

  • Simple new employee onboarding process.
  • Easy for employees to use especially those who do not utilize the computer very often for business or personal use.
  • An easier way to pull specific information from the system for reporting purposes.
  • Technical issues with the remote desktop (although I understand they are currently working on improvements to this).
  • Faster response time from customer service reps.
  • It saves time for our small HR department so we can keep track of employee information.
  • It makes the recruitment process easier and more affordable.
  • It makes the payroll upload process fairly simple.
Ascentis provides better reporting opportunities and an easier payroll process. We have not experienced nearly as many issues as we did with other product vendors. The Ascentis product also allows for easier access to historical files which we were not able to access as easily with other vendors with similar products.
They have been very helpful when I am trying to perform an update in the system that I don't do very often (i.e. adding access to a new manager) and have difficulty remembering how to complete the task. They seem to know exactly what to do and are good at helping me follow along on my computer as they explain the process.
It is well suited for companies looking for an online solution to keeping employee records. It is probably best for companies with at least 100 employees because of the cost of the product but it pays for itself with the time you will save and the increased level of organization you will be able to have. It is especially useful if you have a small HR staff with a variety of roles.
