Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR

We use BambooHR as our general HR software; we initiate onboarding (through Greenhouse integration) and offboarding as a place to keep documents, route documents for signature, and time tracking. We also use it to document the start of the performance year as well as the end of a performance year. We also use it as a place to track various time off categories.
  • Time off category tracking.
  • Timesheets
  • Onboarding/offboarding steps.
  • Document/Signature workflows.
  • We use a different software to process payroll, a PEO.
  • There is no integration of these two softwares.
  • Allow approval of timesheets prior to closure of time period.
  • Improve onboarding/offboarding.
I think BambooHR is intuitive. We have not received any employee complains about the use of the software.
We don't use BambooHR to its full extent (I am not the person who owns this platform). Based on questions in this review, I can see there are far more capabilities of BambooHR than I am aware of. It is something I would like to explore during our non-busy season.
Onboarding/offboarding is a much better workflow in BambooHR. Timesheet entry, as well as document retention, is also preferred in BambooHR. We use the different platforms for different reasons. It appears that BambooHR has additional capabilities that we have not learned about yet and how they can improve our processes, but something to put on the list to explore.

I love the workflows for documents and signatures. We use this quite often, such as for benefits requests, payroll deductions, etc. I also think it has a beautiful workflow for onboarding and offboarding steps and allows these to be customized by a group of employees. Report capabilities are also excellent.

Using BambooHR

60 - All staff use BambooHR in different capacities. To begin we all use the onboarding function, which is fully customizable for different roles, locations and requirements, which suits our business. Nonexempt staff use it for time-tracking purposes, we all use it to track different time off categories including the built in approval workflow.
1 - We have one HR person who owns the platform and is our go to person in regards to any support needed. We are in the process of putting together a training for other that would provide them with information on the the uses and capabilities of the platform from a manager perspective.

We are happy with the way the platform works for our needs. We are in the process of figuring out how the two platforms we have can better suit our needs or explore options for moving to only on platform.

I don't think we have fully explored the capabilities of this platform, hence why we retained our other platform at the same time. This causes us to have inefficiencies that BambooHR might have a solution for which we need to explore.
