Orders for over 1300 auto parts were being taken manually over the phone. Now orders are taken automatically and routed to the proper departments - shipping, accounting, etc. Time previously spent taking and processing orders can now be allocated to other tasks.
- 24/7 support with American technicians - support is NOT outsourced to India, Pakistan, etc. Wait times for support are short.
- The ability to edit template code gives us a great deal of flexibility and power in determining how our online store looks and works.
- Shipping is adequate and improving, but could still use more flexibility.
- Time previously spent taking and processing orders can now be allocated to other tasks.
My advice on selecting an ecommerce platform: Research reviews on all ecommerce platforms, but pay particular attention to the quality of technical support and the degree of store customization that is possible, because it's likely you'll run into some unforeseen issues that can only be addressed by making your own changes to the templates that are offered.
