Overall Satisfaction with Birdeye

We used Birdeye to manager reviews. We were going to use it for referral management, but that became too complicated.
  • In my experience, they were very responsive during implementation.
  • In my opinion, they market themselves well
  • I think they are very good at selling you their product
  • In my opinion, pricing is really really high for what you get
  • Sales staff is very good and communicative and English as a first language. The implementation staff... not so much. I found it very challenging communicating with that team.
  • In my opinion, the contract is outrageous. 12 months- ok fine. But then they auto renew for 12 months and, in my experience, won't let you out.
  • Birdeye probably hasn't really impacted our business at all. We were good at generating reviews prior to Birdeye.
In my opinion, you can do everything Birdeye does in high-level and zapier for 1/10th the cost and much more customizations.

The contract states that it is 12 months. Ok fine. However- it auto renews and, in my experience, they won't let you cancel until the next 12 months. I think it's worse than a big box gym membership. And guess what?? In my opinion, it's a total scam because once everything is set up in Birdeye (which I did btw- not them), it's set and forget. Meaning- they are doing nothing to contribute to the value of their initial offering. Which is fine- but don't keep me hostage to some insane contract.
