Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud eTapestry

I use it to track donors and donations to our nonprofit.
  • basic gift transactions
  • ACH payments
  • online giving forms are dated in look and feel
  • event management/tracking tools are too basic
  • queries and reports are not user friendly
  • very basic tracking of donors
  • receipting for gift transactions
  • it has allowed us to record emails and attachments to funders
Once you are trained on the data entry side it is fine for basic functionality. The reporting and queries however are time consuming and not intuitive.
we were trying to consolidate eTapestry, our donation and event ticketing platform and our email marketing service. RE NXT would certainly have been an upgrade to eTapestry but did not offer the full functionality we were looking for.

Blackbaud eTapestry was fine for a starter database and is relatively inexpensive. These days even small nonprofits need more modern and user-friendly platforms, whether it's through Blackbaud or another company. Also the customer service is slow to respond and sometimes just plain unhelpful, it has seemed that Blackbaud has been dialing back resources put into eTapestry and perhaps putting them towards their other database solutions.
