Overall Satisfaction

Blackboard was used in the previous organization I was in as the primary LMS for students and faculty. It addressed the need for students to get their grades, assignments, etc.
  • Content delivery
  • Social networking aspects (but should continue to grow)
  • Grading
  • Needs fewer errors and better error messages
  • Too many steps on adding certain content (eg adaptive release on items/quizzes)
  • increased student happiness
  • Canvas
Canvas is good too, but Blackboard has more features and customization abilities.
This is not and was never my decision.
I think that Blackboard is better for larger institutions but smaller institutions might want to utilize open source products that can accomplish the same thing for a cheaper price. Also, not every business or institution that uses Bb needs all of the features.
