Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

Dayforce is currently used by the HR and Payroll functions. It addressed time and attendance, payroll, benefits, workforce management and eliminates some manual processes. It is utilized in both the US and Canada. Our current configuration still has the need to process items manually, however, this will be addressed in 2020.

Pros

  • Time and attendance - set-up and flexability
  • Entitlements - flexibility
  • Payroll - uploads and general process
  • Benefits Management - OE, new hire and life events

Cons

  • Payroll - Retro Increases
  • Benefits Management - configuration and set-up
  • PPACA - complicated set-up
  • Indirect savings have been achieved through increased productivity and efficiency.
  • Increased accuracy has been valuable.
  • Reporting has allowed for metrics and analysis to measure the effectiveness of the HR function as well as capital management.
  • Entitlement policies - adhering to the multiple state and local jurisdictions
  • Over-time and regular rate of pay calculations
  • W-2 recordkeeping and reporting
  • PPACA recordkeeping and compliance
  • State withholding
Yes, it can be beneficial. Currently, our organization does not use the scheduling, compensation or hiring functions. However, there are definite benefits that our organization will be able to expect once they are implemented.
Dayforce is less complicated than other products and allows you the flexibility to meet your business needs. It is a stronger tool with greater technology and creative problem solving ability.
Well suited for retail establishments and the hourly workforce. The ability to schedule and plan based on traffic etc. is a powerful tool. The app is also very useful. I am looking forward to a possible implementation of the compensation module and onboarding.

The only scenario that has been less appropriate is processing retro increases and having to utilize support in order to complete.
