Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce HCM

It is being used across the entire organization for HRIS, Payroll, Time Tracking and Reporting. Since it is an all-in-one system, employee information only needs to be entered once, which then feeds into our payroll and timesheet. This also helps with reporting capabilities and we can report on multi-functions to get information.

  • Reporting is easy to use and the capabilities are improving all the time.
  • Payroll is easy to process when linked with the HRIS and WFM.
  • It is simple to use for time tracking and processing.
  • We are having difficulties with the new HTML Timesheets, I believe because of the complexities of our payroll policies. Support has been working with us to rectify, but it is a timely process.
  • Security set up is difficult to get your head around being an all in one system, but once you understand the complexities it's a lot easier.
  • Setting up the original organization structure was fine, but is difficult to update once live with the system.
  • It has had a huge impact on time-savings from HR and payroll administration.
  • It has taken our supervisors and lead hands a time to get used to administrating the WFM and although it takes a little more time, the reporting we are able to get out of the system seems worthwhile.
Once the policies are set up, it helps with ensuring we process overtime correctly and the legislative taxation is a no brainer. It has meant, beyond a quick audit a couple of times a year, it is hands off and trustworthy that it means I can concentrate on other aspects of my work.
Because any changes that are made are immediate it mean that something is updated and the employee can then see the information is updated there and then. For example, I update a password and within seconds an employee is able to log in to the system with the updated password and have access to their information. So there is no waiting around.
The impact on process payroll has been immense. We no longer need to audit between different third party systems and can trust the data coming through is what was entered. Also because it is one source of information, it has reduced the possibility of differing information, like home addresses, the information is the same across the board.
If using separate systems, it can be time-consuming when auditing and reconciling to ensure data has updated or is processing correctly. With having the systems linked it makes the flow of data a lot simpler and saves on time. Our payroll processing reduced by 50%, since we did not need to audit what was uploaded with the HR data and time data to be paid.
