Overall Satisfaction with Cisco 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers (ASR 9000)
We use them for internet peering and for service aggregation in our carrier Ethernet platform. They serve well in terms of stability, service richness and performance when connecting to several IP-Transit provider. The possibilities when creating complex routing-policies are far beyond the route-maps we had with IOS-XE in the past. The use for service aggregation in our carrier Ethernet platform has a much more scale than NCS router can provide.

Cisco 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers have a much higher scale when it comes to internet peering or service aggregation in mpls backbones. They way how IOS-XR is structured and the possibilities to use it, is far beyond what IOS-XE delivers.
