Would you buy Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points again?

  • due to reliability, we can use devices for long time
  • due to EOX policies, some APs cannot use with new WLCs
  • RMA support saves more investment
Cisco ap performance is high. but coverage is less when compared to other wireless brands. some peoples compare with other brands and are disappointed with the number of APs required to cover some user areas. because it needs more number of APs when compare with any other brand such as unify. other than that, all features are looking good
scalability is good in Cisco APs. the only issue is some APs are not compatible with new WLCs which may need to replace a large number of APs used currently.
implementation is quick when WLC is properly deployed. after initial WLC preparation, other APs connected quickly and started to provide service. average 1 day took to implement and start using the wireless.
Cisco Access Points are well suited for advanced deployments such as BYOD. this gives strong stable networks between users and systems through wireless networks. also, Cisco support gives very good service for failures and replacements. Cisco is not very good for low-budget solutions. because Cisco APs are a bit high in price perspective and solution components including WLC and licenses.
