Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Switches

Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Switches are used as Access and Core Distribution for our office users to connect to the enterprise networks for their work routines.
  • Easy to Deploy
  • Can last long
  • Light Weight
  • Compact which can be easily deployed for office with limited space
  • IOS - Tends to be buggy sometimes
  • IOS - Different flavor of the firmware which may be confusing sometime
  • ROI - The equipment is bought with 5 years of warranty but can last longer than that
  • ROI - Equipment can support higher network bandwidth with the change of transceivers rather than having to replace the entire equipment
My organization has yet to benefit from these capabilities of the Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Switches as we are still in the midst of clean up our legacy networks.
Nope, we are still the the midst of transforming from the traditional setup over to the new enhancement that the Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Switches have.
Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches are used as Access Switches for the Campus Environment which is connected to the Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Switches. It is easy to deploy and stacked to support additional ports required.

Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Switches are well suited for campus and small office environments to provide reliable network connectivity for users in the indoor environment. If needed to deploy for outdoor environment, they tend to be a little hot which may affect the lifespan of the equipment.
