We use Cision in the communications department to send out press releases, make pitches, connect members of the media with our experts, reach out on social media, and keep track of when our experts are in the news. I cannot speak for the entire organization.

WISYWIG editor somewhat painstaking to use.
Some kind of list-cleaner function would be nice.

Efficiency, especially with the automated daily roundup of media hits.
Reach. We can get our research in front of the people most likely to publicize it.

Likelihood to Recommend

When we need to get a new piece of research in front of members of the media, we can use previous lists to build off of or start from scratch to send a blast. We can also get information on how to contact media directly, on social media for instance. Then we can follow up and analyze our performance.
