Overall Satisfaction with Cision PR Software

We use Cision within our department (other departments may use it as well, but I'm not sure) to obtain contact information (names, outlets, email, phone numbers, etc.) for media outlets that we want to pitch our books authors to. It allows us to search for people at certain outlets as well as discover outlets that we had not previously worked with.

  • The hits/analytics are difficult to learn
  • It's difficult to change information, as you have to contact customer service
  • Helps find contacts/contact information
  • Helps find outlets in a specific region/state
  • Helps quickly build lists
Cision is actually the only PR Software that I've used in my professional career, but it fulfills all of the things that I am looking for. It's easy, user friendly, informative, and the customer service representatives are helpful. I am not sure how it stacks up to other software options, but it works well for me.
Cision is extremely helpful when looking for information for media members, such as television, newspapers, online outlets, etc. It helps you find information both if you know what you are looking for or if you have no idea and need a push in the right direction. It's also good for keeping you up to date on updated information.
