Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense

Our entire organization uses Concur for expense management. It is easy to track the expenses and spend at an organization level with reports generated from an integrated system. Other benefit is that the Concur is completely scalable. So a small company does not need to make certain capital investment which are of no use once it grows to a large size.
  • I can access Concur on the go via web or mobile app. I don't need to remember and keep a track of all the expenses done over the journey as I can update them through the mobile app on the go.Just snapping a pic and uploading the receipt prevents the hassles of tracking receipts while travelling.
  • You can just add or store your corporate card and then your life becomes easy.
  • It also provides the feature of receiving e-receipts from a set of vendors which eliminates the need of paper receipts. The idea of a receipt store also a new for me and very comfortable to pull out older receipts as compared to Open Air where you have to go to the specific claim to see the attachments.
  • User Interface is pretty bland and old -school types.It is slow and many process have redundant steps which consumes a lot of time.
  • Pricing model is a little less flexible
  • Time saving of employees who are travelling and the entire reimbursement process has become smooth and seamless
  • Employees don't need to keep a track of receipts as corporate card can be directly linked with the Concur
  • Saves a lot of time in auditing and keeping a check on submissions and expenses
  • OpenAir
Everything about OpenAir is annoying basically because the GUI is extremely difficult to use.I use it as an employee and as a manager and it is useless for both.Data is entered by dropdown and you cannot use the keyboard or cut and paste except in narrative fields so you have to scroll through long dropdown lists just to enter simple data like currency or category.There is no ability to import/export from/to XL so you literally have to enter everything by hand which takes forever since the GUI is so stone age.As a manager, there are no useful reports and whilst the system captures lots of supposedly useful data, its a blackhole from which you cannot extract anything useful.
Concur is a great expense management tool for organizations. Also, with launch of Concur breeze, it will cater to the needs of Small and Medium businesses as well.

Using Concur Travel and Expense

Concur is a great tool for online expense submission and reporting. You can manage both your own expenses, as well as set up permissions and approval processes for everyone in the organization. Copies of the transactions made on company credit cards are automatically updated with the charge. The email notifications are straightforward and timely. Phone app is so convenient. Easy way to book travel.
