Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense
Concur is used as a travel booking software for flights, hotels, rental cars, bus and train travel organization-wide. The company sets pricing perimeters around what can be booked that advise if we go over and allow us to pick a new option but also put in a reason behind why an option is selected. We can book our own travel or someone can do so on your behalf. This takes out the bottleneck we faced when all travel had to go through just a coordinator.
Pros
- Easy to use interface that gives a lot of options based on the area for travel.
- Great customer service when you have questions around using the website.
Cons
- There are times I find flights on a different site that do not come up, even though within company pricing perimeters.
- The car rental search feature is a bit "clunky"- could be easier to use.
- There is no bottleneck with booking travel.
- Employees are allowed a lot more accountability and control over their travel.
Prior to Concur, we used an in-house travel agent. I do not have experience with another travel company.
Again, it's all about efficiency - if we allow employees control over their travel, we do not have bottlenecks during high volume travel time. This allows our staff to get their travel booked and go back to their regular responsibilities with little interruption.
