Overall Satisfaction with Cyberduck

We use Cyberduck to manage our website (Wordpress cms) and podcast files on our server. Currently, there is one person using the platform on a single server. Using Cyberduck has allowed us to avoid using clunky, online file transfer services, and streamlines our workflow, saving time and confusion.
  • Bookmarked connections make for quick connections.
  • Clear, intuitive interface.
  • When entering incorrect information, it can be difficult to realize what's not working.
  • The ability to see only one "layer" while navigating can be limiting.
  • Free platform keeps overhead low.
  • General ease of use saves time.
I've found other FTP clients, like FileZilla, to be more cumbersome and less user-friendly. The interface of Cyberduck is more "simplified." For a power user, this may seem "dumbed down," but for me, it's struck a fantastic balance of usability and power. Plus, at the price, you really can't complain.
I've never needed to use their support service. The few issues I've had were user-error and quickly resolved with a little googling.

Do you think Cyberduck delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cyberduck's feature set?

Yes

Did Cyberduck live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cyberduck go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cyberduck again?

Yes

The free platform can't be beat. It's much easier to use than some other freeware programs. For basic users, this has more than enough power to get the job done. If you're looking for a program that would be able to manage backups (especially for a CMS platform) this could be limiting.
