Overall Satisfaction with Dashpivot - By Sitemate

Dashpivot is being used across our entire organization. It was originally going to be used for Site Diaries only, but once we found how simple it was to set up and use, we added our office staff and started using it for all internal processes too. We have even found innovative ways to use it for specific tasks. By having everything "live" we can see that things that need to be done every day, are actually being done, rather than being left until the end of the week. This way the information being recorded is accurate because it is being done in real-time, everyone within the organization can access the information immediately, which also makes the recorded data more useful and meaningful. It is also saving tonnes of time. Being able to use lists and drop-down boxes rather than hand writing piles of information, allows once laborious tasks to be done in a fraction of the time. Another big problem solved, is that all this information is saved in the cloud and cannot get 'lost' under a pile of paperwork. We can access it at any time, at the touch of a button.
  • Soooooooo easy to set up and use! So user friendly a monkey could do it.
  • Customer support is phenomenal. Phone, email, online chat. Easy to follow instructional videos. No call centre in Thailand.
  • I love that you can use pre-filled data. Type up lists once and NEVER have to hand type them again! Just click!
  • Tagging! Being able to categorise photos to particular categories for enhanced search functions. Brilliant!
  • Fully flexible customisation. All the templates we have created we have had full creative capabilities with. I haven't found anything yet that I wanted to do that couldn't be done. I was even able to add three pages of terms and conditions to a purchase order template.
  • If Dashpivot could make me a cup of coffee, it would be perfect!
  • Very affordable, doesn't break the bank at all.
  • Saves at us money ten fold in the time we save.
  • Could potentially save us thousands if we need to rely on information to support a claim or variation - we have evidence from site captured daily!! There are many scenarios from the past (before we had Dashpivot) that we spent hours going through emails and texts messages trying to find a photo to prove something happened BEFORE a particular date. Luckily we were able to find something and it saves us $40K. With Dashpivot, we will always have this information safe and easily accessible.
I haven't used anything prior to Dashpivot so I cannot compare. Although I did research other options before choosing Dashpivot, all of which were waaaayyyyy to complicated, over priced or based overseas.
We are in Construction, but I recommended Dashpivot to my IT guy this morning. I could see a million ways that it could be used by anyone in just about any industry. We have just set up a template to track a specific (very large) variation. Each time spoil is taken from the site, the tonnes, docket number, date, time and rego number of the vehicle are recorded. The Site Manager is also taking a photo of the truck docket and attaching it. We can use the analytics function to track the progress and amounts as we go along. When it came time to bill, all the information will be right there at my fingertips. We are using Dashpivot for Site Diaries, Purchase orders, EOT's, RFI's, Concrete pour checklists, toolbox talks, variation requests, and the lists goes on.... the ONLY thing that our Site Manager has said it is not really suitable is the sign-in sheet. He said that really need to be something that the site visitors and Sub Contractors physically sign. Might work with Dashpivot is we had a "sign on Ipad" or something, but at this point, it is being done manually.

Using Dashpivot - By Sitemate

6 - We use Dashpivot for just about everything now that requires a form. We use it on site and in the office. It has created an open line of information sharing between, Project Managers, Site Managers, CA's and Directors.
2 - Dashpivot is so simple, I believe my 9 year old could support it. I do mostly all of it myself, but I showed another staff member in the office how to set up templates in about 2 minutes flat. That's all it took. Anything the guys on site want fixed or changed, they call me, and I do it then and there on the spot and often takes a couple of seconds. A couple of time I got stuck, and had an answer from Site Mate within a couple of minutes.
  • Site Diaries
  • Purchase Orders
  • Variations
  • Checklists
  • Keeping account of a large variation - tracking tonnes of spoil removed from site
  • Tracking quantities of how much concrete is being poured on site
  • Site Manager is taking a photo on his phone of dockets and uploading them as photos tagged "reimbursements" so I can see what he is spending instead of getting a shoe box of receipts at the end of the week! or worse, month! And none of the receipts will be lost.
  • We are only just beginning.... we think of new things every day!! We are really only limited by our imagination.
  • We are going to find a way to store SWMS, Insurance documents and Contracts for Sub Contractors
  • Ask me again in a few weeks and I am sure we will have found a whole other list of things to use it for!
  • Tracking when rego's are due on all the vehicles and site vans!
I could NEVER go back to life before Dashpivot.

Evaluating Dashpivot - By Sitemate and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
Mostly price. It was affordable. It also seemed very easy to use, and I though it was something I wouldn't have any trouble implementing. I also liked the customer support right from the start. The team at Sitemate were so nice and easy to deal with.
hmmmm. I don't think I would. I could only go on the factors that I went on. Price and usability where the 2 major deciding factors.

Dashpivot - By Sitemate Implementation

Implementation was super easy and dare I say fun! I thoroughly enjoyed the implementation process. We all got excited coming up with suggestions and ideas for what we could implement next.
Change management was minimal - It was a change that needed to happen, and one I hesitated with for far too long. I thought the change was going to be so time consuming and difficult. The opposite happened. The change was immediately accepted by everyone, including our Sit Manager who hates computers. It has made life so much easier for everyone, and we haven't looked back.
  • I lost sleep because I was so excited to set up new templates I stayed up way too late playing.
  • We no longer need the piles of paper forms we printed for site as they are now all digital. Poor trees.

Dashpivot - By Sitemate Support

I'm a fan. What can I say. They provided full training to help me get set up and going. Any time I need help, I can call, email or chat online for immediate assistance and I am usually always dealing with Sam, who is my dedicated support person. It's the kind of customer service that just doesn't exist in most places anymore....

No - The support is free and it is a premium as it gets.
Yes - It is a known issue that is being resolved as we speak. Minor issue that does not have any negative impacts on our business at all.
The support from Sitemate has been exceptional from the moment of my first enquiry. Honestly, the support is above and beyond always.

Using Dashpivot - By Sitemate

It is so simple. I put off getting an online system for sooooo long because I dreaded the thought of getting a new system, having to set it all up and having to teach everyone how to use it. I also envisaged me being the port of call every time it stopped working or people didn't know what they were doing. I now wish I had done it a long time ago. The set up was so basic. I had 45 minutes of training over the phone in front of my PC and I was set to go! By the end of the day, I had already gone from "I'm just going to start off with Site Diaries and implement everything else gradually" to "this is bloody amazing, everything is now on Dashpivot and everyone is using it!" We converted our entire site and internal systems over to Dahpivot by Site Mate in the space of a day! True story.
