Overall Satisfaction with Dynatrace

Dynatrace is being used in our IT department to pinpoint application issues both on the back-end and front-end of applications.

Pros

  • Dynatrace is very good at building dashboards that are easy to understand with one glance.
  • Dynatrace is great with alerting when problems are found.
  • Another great feature is that Dynatrace has AI built in to help identify root causes.

Cons

  • I don’t like the fact that pricing is split based on features.
  • In my opinion, the amount of usage allowance is low for things like log analytics or real user monitoring.
  • It’s difficult for us to come up with a hard number for ROI on an application like this. We don’t have enough visibility into how much our problems cost our organization.
Solar winds, ServiceNow
Dynatrace is suited very well for web applications. It is also excellent for identifying hard-to-isolate problems that are spread across a vast environment.
