Overall Satisfaction with Dynatrace

Dynatrace is being used as the primary problem finding tool within the IT department. Even our third party IT supplier has access to our Dynatrace instance for troubleshooting their own issues. It is also used to get information about the current state of the IT infrastructure through dashboarding. The Dynatrace UFO is a big help with this. Dynatrace is deployed on every business critical application across the organisation. It helps us understand our infrastructure and gives insight in the communication between applications.

Most monitoring tools are about infrastructure monitoring and keep stuck at the levels levels of monitoring. They collect logs and you have to create your own view of the correlation. They really miss out on business impact and organic insight in your current configuration. Just collecting everything is not enough anymore.
The support of Dynatrace is awesome. I've used it many times for really different kinds of questions. There is an in-app chat functionality which gets you in direct contact with Dynatrace support. If your question is about a bug or how to use the product, they always have an answer or will help you in finding one.

If you have multiple technologies running on different platforms doing automatic load balancing and resource management it is really helpful to give you a good insight in the current state of your IT infrastructure. Also integrating with other tools like ServiceNow or implementing keptn is a really helpful way to get up to speed and really help your IT department.
