Overall Satisfaction with FloQast
We use FloQast to track and process monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts. This allows us to track the progress of closing the month and reporting on results. In addition, using the dates allows us to allocate the tasks more appropriately a quicker timeline.
Pros
- Sync with NetSuite extremely fast
- The slack help prompts are helpful to provide users with daily to-dos
- The ability to add and remove checklist and reconciliation items is super helpful as our business, team and systems grow.
Cons
- The google sync could be faster
- It'd be nice to have an option to have a formal template for reconciliations so that all recs look as the same format
- Google drop downs of anchor references would help ensure completeness
- Formalizing and organizing all the activities and tasks that need to get done has allowed us to go from not closing the books to closing in less than 20 days
- No negative impacts
- The timeline view has helped us see that there are two many tasks to be completed on the same day which allows us to move various tasks earlier or later.
The ease with which we're able to rollforward reconciliations instead of manually copying recs and also automatically close accounts that need reconciliations but don't move is a huge time saver.
We've used this with our auditors to provide evidence of reconciliations or checklists signed-off.
