Overall Satisfaction with Groove

In 2u, the Groove software is used for various reasons not limited to internal and external appointment scheduling, easy email communication and tracking, individual advisor engagement tracking on each work-day, email template creation resulting in easy access and use on Gmail, as well as other team members Gmail account management whenever they out of office and support or assistance is requested in their personal email account. Essentially, the software has made work tasks relatively easier and more efficient to complete.

Cons

  • Visual instructions/guidance for new users
  • Zoom engagement integration
  • Some students miss and forget about previously scheduled appointments as the appointments do not log into the student's Gmail calendar once the appointment has been confirmed.

  • Template creation and use for Gmail - email correspondences
  • Efficiency in the completion of administrative tasks
  • Increased productivity and engagement
  • Employee satisfaction
For less technologically inclined individuals, orientation and familiarity make take some time with frequent use. With time, the use of the software becomes second nature to a frequent user. In view of this, my suggestion (if it is not already available to users) is to add a visual orientation video explaining the navigation and use of the various features.
Not applicable. This evaluation is essentially my first experience; also, I have fortunately only have had an opportunity to use any other software similar to groove in my current position as a student success advisor at the mentioned company (2u).

Yes

Well suited: Improved communication with the student population, with frequently results in work tasks been completed in a fraction of the time had there not been access to the groove software.
Less suited: At least in my current role is the knowledge management and live chat features. Most team members hardly use the mentioned features.
