Fails to function without drivers. You won't be able to utilize this unless you have an established system with drivers and paid support. At the client sites, where we have placed a couple of them, each one has worked without a hitch. We've only ever had a hangup when the scanner runs out of power. We had a keyboard, mouse, bar code scanner, thumb drive, and a scanner hooked into a non-powered USB hub. Occasionally, the unit would "fall asleep," for want of a better phrase. The issue was resolved by immediately plugging the scanner into a port on the PC.
Yes, this software fully integrates with Microsoft Active Directory. Yes, since Active Directory serves as the database for users, workstations, and security groups. Our firm has benefited.
For some users that are a part of a certain security group and have some limited access permissions, we utilize Windows authentication.
We don't use Azure AD.
- It works well for the logging in and out of workers.
- Simple to implement and aids in the security monitoring of employees' POS system usage, timekeeping, and voids. It has been a fantastic investment.
- Right out of the box, the Postalmate program worked flawlessly.
