Overall Satisfaction with IBM API Connect

I utilize IBM APIC as a central location for managing our APIs, similar to a version control system for typical programming code for websites and/or software. The workflows for IBM APIC have helped in efficiency and removed the complexity of the typical management issues surrounding API management. One of the other benefits I like is the security policies used in IBM APIC.
  • API Management
  • API Security Policies
  • API Workflows
  • Third party product integration
  • Licensing can be 'blue sky' costly for small businesses
  • Upgrades and/or patch fixes aren't always real smooth
  • Secure API storage
  • More time for developers to develop versus managing APIs and/or searching for them
  • Workflows help teams get things done more efficiently and more accurately
From what I've described before, all wrapped up in a simple statement, it's the ease of use for the overall system that aids the developers throughout product/API lifecycles.
One of the biggest downfalls of most systems is security. IBM APIC has far exceeded expectations around security by affording multiple layers of security. It takes much of the burden off of the user to have to deal with and APIC takes care of it.
IBM APIC far and away blows the other two systems I've used out of the water. There really isn't any comparison, in my humble opinion. Ease of use, security, versioning, efficiency, accountability are basically 'forced' by APIC, which allows less burden on the users themselves.
