Overall Satisfaction with Jolt

We currently use Jolt as our training system tracking throughout our three locations. We use Jolt for our documentation of employee's personnel action forms, i.e. Coachings, AOC, terminations, performance reviews. We use Jolt in our food and beverage areas for labels, temp control logs, and other tracking needs. Jolt has helped us automate a lot of processes that we used to do manually.
  • The scheduling piece of Jolt is very user friendly.
  • The labeling system for food and beverage department has been a game changer for us.
  • Jolt is very user friendly.
  • Jolt tends to have a long load time when creating a new list item. For example, you click the plus button to add a new list and it will go to a loading screen for a minute our two before moving to the next screen. It does not give a time out error it just takes a bit to load. I find this tends to happen during normal business hours and not so much an issue when using it on nights and weekends.
  • Jolt does not integrate with our payroll system, so we could not use the time keeping piece of Jolt. I believe this is more of an issue with the payroll system than an issue with Jolt.
  • The amount of time Jolt has saved me is inmeasurable!!
Jolt is the only product of its type that I have used. I have used multiple payroll systems, but that would be comparing apples to oranges.
Anytime I have had an issue or question Jolt has been very responsive and helpful in finding the answer or solution to my issue.
Jolt is very user friendly. If you use a smartphone you can use Jolt. Set up is very easy and not super time-consuming.

Yes

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Jolt again?

Yes

Jolt is best suited for a restaurant/Food & Beverage type of business but can be easily adapted into other businesses. Our business is a theme park and we originally started using Jolt in our Food & Beverage area. But, we quickly adapted it to be used throughout our operations in all three of our locations. Jolt has been able to automate a lot of processes we used to do manually. We have a very unique model and have never been able to find one product to do everything we need, but Jolt has solved a lot of those issues and consolidated a lot of our old processes into one centralized program.

Using Jolt

600 - Every employee in our company uses Jolt at some point. Whether they use it to sign training documents or to receive their latest performance appraisal they use it. Our management staff uses Jolt to track employee training and monthly audits. Our Human Resources team uses Jolt to track personnel actions.
10 - There is no real skill needed to support Jolt, just understand what each function is. We keep our support staff small so we can control what information is input into the system. For example, we have state-required training forms that have to be very specific or the state will not accept them. For this reason, we limit the number of people with full access to the system.
  • Personnel training
  • Labels for our Food & Beverage area
  • Prior to switching payroll companies, scheduling was used.
  • State training paperwork that is required by law
  • Performance evaluations
  • If Jolt offered a Payroll system it would be near perfect for what my company needs out of an all in one system
  • If Jolt offered a Point of Sale that could be tailored to sell/track barcoded items.
Jolt is very user friendly and offers a lot of solutions to my companies needs. If it offered a Payroll piece and a Point of Sale piece it would make it a complete system that would solve 99% of my companies needs.

Evaluating Jolt and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Usability
Cost was a big factor in us choosing Jolt. At the time, we had not used an automated system so owners did not see the value in it. Getting ownership to try it out came down to the cost of trying.
I think the only thing that might change in another evaluation would be if the product could integrate with our payroll system.

Jolt Implementation

Jolt is user-friendly and was an easy implementation. Held a couple of training classes for our management on how to use the product.
Yes - We started out with just adding Jolt for our Food & Beverage Department at each of our locations. Then after a few short months, we expanded it to all of our operations.
  • The biggest hurdle was the time to get all employees into Jolt.
  • The trial and error of getting list set up how we would like them to display.

No - We use support so infrequent that paying for something we would not use would not be a good business decision.
I am impressed with Jolt's response times to issues. I have called and gotten immediate help. I have also emailed in when I don't need an immediate response and have always been impressed with their response times. I have always gotten a same-day response. I have only used support a handful of times though as the system has operated as expected.

  • Scheduling is super easy and user friendly
  • Labeling system
  • Search features
  • Long load times when adding new list.
  • Search feature could use an all dates selection, so you can search entire history without selecting "all dates after" and selecting a start date.
Yes - I find the desktop version to be the easiest to work with, but mobile functions are good and timely synch with desktop. I have some forms that require a photo so will work with my mobile device while doing another part on my desktop and they synch effortlessly with little to no lag time.
