Overall Satisfaction with Mattermost

Mattermost is our main source of communication within our company. We use it to communicate within specific groups and disciplines, across the entire company, and for private messages. The most important factor when deciding on implementing Mattermost was it's HIPAA compliance. Within our healthcare company, HIPAA compliance is of the highest importance.

  • Visual interface could look cleaner.
  • The transition from another messaging software was not easy.

Mattermost is as good of a software as HipChat. They both allow for easy communication within our company across private, group, or mass messaging. The notifications of both work well without flaw. The only difference that I have noticed between the two would be that HipChat had a silly gif messaging aspect that I have not seen work as well in Mattermost.

Mattermost is well suited for healthcare companies seeking HIPAA-compliant communication software. It works well within our company of about 600+ employees for easy quick communication within private messaging and group messaging. It may be less appropriate for connectivity to other software such as electronic medical record software. All in all, the software works perfectly within our setting.

Using Mattermost

In our healthcare setting we use Mattermost as a way to communicate with each other. I have used Mattermost to communicate with someone in the same room as myself or with someone in another state entirely. We commonly discuss patient care, but have also used the software to discuss issues with IT, HR, or any other area of the company.
I don't have much information on the types of people or skills required to support Mattermost. We have an IT department who managed all of the support.

Mattermost works perfectly within our company as a way to communicate seamlessly. I have had no issues with the product and continue to use it often while on and off site. The mobile app allows me to continue to communicate with my team even when I don't have my laptop with me.

Mattermost Support

Overall Mattermost's communication software works flawlessly. They allow for HIPAA-compliant communication across various forms of messaging. The software helps me communicate with other providers and staff throughout the day to quickly and effectively navigate a clinical setting. Mattermost keeps our team moving and has never given us any problems.
