The CMS is used to power our public facing Marketing website. The CMS allows us to easily create and share content with our users.
- Easily create new page templates and blocks
- Hosts our site as a PaaS
- Content creation process on the backend
- AI Features (Search & Navigation/Find, Image Tags/Descriptions)
- Redirect Manager, needs a 3rd party tool like SEO Toolbox
- Sitemap Generator, needs a 3rd party tool like SEO Toolbox
- Built in options for hiding/showing properties/tabs, needs a 3rd party tool like Alloy.HideTabs
- Allows our content creator to easily update/create content
We use Content Recommendations, CMS, Experimentation and soon the CMP. All are used on our main website together to create an engaging experience for our users.
It makes management of our products easier, both from a vendor management aspect as well as knowing the products will work together.
We came from Ektron. The Optimizely Content Management System CMS and APIs were amazing compared to the old one. It still took quite a bit of time to migrate and convert everything over, I don't recall exactly how long though. We have a small team.
We picked Optimizely Content Management System due to the rich feature set. Competitive Pricing. It's not open source, and it's based off of C# .NET
