Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

When we relaunched our website 4 years ago, we were able to go from concept to full launch in 13 markets in under a year. It was very quick and easy to get the core site up and then create multiple language versions with little oversight to the editors.

We came from Ektron. The Optimizely Content Management System CMS and APIs were amazing compared to the old one. It still took quite a bit of time to migrate and convert everything over, I don't recall exactly how long though. We have a small team.

After purchasing the Optimizley Content Management System, working with our implementation partner which including looking at fixing customer journeys, prototyping, developing the website, migrating content from the old website to the new website, testing and load testing, and the deploying the website into production it look a total of nine months.

From selection of the product to initial implementation took around 6 months and then we were able to decommission WordPress. We used a recommended platinum partner and they were fully conversant and experienced in the implementation process. Since initial implementation, we have spent the last 2 years evolving the website and continuously improving the look and feel as well as the customer experience. The product allows you to keep evolving and provides new features and functionality on an ongoing basis.

We are currently using the Optimizely CMS, but are expecting upgrades to the CMS in the near future. We expect the upgrades will help with enhancements to our website and workflow.

Six months, but it really depends. So six months for test equity, but it's going to vary by customer to customer. If you're trying to do more of a turnkey out-of-the-box implementation, it could be two months. If you're trying to build a whole bunch of new features, it could be a year. It could be a year, half a million dollars, six months. So it is customer-specific. For us, it was about six months. We were one of the first customers who were migrating from the old CMS to the new content management system, so the partners didn't really have experience with it. So it was definitely harder like two years ago but it's easier now.

A couple of weeks, very fast. I would say it was very easy. It comes out of the box with some features to get content on your pages. We did some customizations right away before launching, so we created a few customized blocks and it didn't take very long to do that. I would say the usability was good on that.

The impelmentation for both ptimizely Content Management System and commerce took approximately 8 months after we completed our requirements phase.

It took us a year to migrate our 700+ page site, but we only had one content manager migrating that content. It was easy to migrate the content and get trained on the system. We took long enough to launch the new site that the site was behind Episerver versions when it launched.

It took about a year to develop the functionality (because I had to support our customers in Ektron as well) and about 6 months to migrate content.

In working with IBM to set up and establish the initial web structure, I worked alongside them to continue to produce pages and sections. I have been using the tool for 2 years and am fairly comfortable with the system. Albeit, the new rev 12 will greatly enhance ease of use. I'm looking forward to it.
