Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

We have a client infrastructure in GCP which we migrated to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Our main motive was to save the billing cost and in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure we achieved it by a significant margin. We use Terraform to initiate the infra consisting of multiple compute instances, managed Mysql and PostgreSQL and storage.
  • Low on Cost
  • Easy to use
  • Right scaling is convenient
  • Convenient to operate Managed Services
  • Security aspects
  • User Experience is not great
  • At times face downtime while loading the windows
  • Scalable environment
  • Reliable services
  • Low on cost
  • Easy to manage
We don't face any issues with Google Cloud Platform, it's just like we want to save some billing costs so we looked for other solutions like Digital Ocean or Linode, but we found Oracle Cloud Infrastructure best suited for our requirements. Its region wise segregation also helped us in our requirements.

Do you think Oracle Cloud Infrastructure delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's feature set?

Yes

Did Oracle Cloud Infrastructure live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Oracle Cloud Infrastructure again?

Yes

Although Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is suited for Oracle clients with support of Oracle services, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to save some bucks while utilising the cloud services. We migrated towards Oracle Cloud Infrastructure due to low cost and support of "Dubai" and "Abu Dhabi" regions. We have segregated the regions but configured cross-region private connectivity between tenancies using VCN peering, which works like a charm. The only issue I have is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure lacks a little in ease of user experience in comparison to other cloud platforms, but if it's not a deal breaker for you, then Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is recommended.
