Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for human resources and payroll purposes. Paylocity is very helpful for onboarding, running reports, time and labor, and running payroll processes. They also submit withholding and unemployment taxes and process W-2's and 1099's. They have excellent customer service who is very helpful in solving most problems in a timely manner.

Pros

  • Time and Labor system ungraded so employees can make their own corrections

Cons

  • When I had a problem with a 401k situation it took them a long time to correct the issue. I actually had to have technical support for 401k step in for the problem to get fixed.
  • Allowing me to sort my staff by different sources. I had that feature for a long time and it has been taken away from everyone and I would love to have it back.
  • Payroll has more consistent processes which saves time
  • Errors are reduced there are not many changes that need to be made
  • Cost is reduced because since Paylocity does so much only one person is needed to to handle both human resources and payroll
  • Times are constantly changing and so is Paylocity. They are keeping up with technology by continuing to make upgrades at a fraction of the cost of other software I have received quotes from
Paylocity has made it easy for me to be able to spend more time on employees needs with the automated system. Payroll and time and labor are very automated and that gives me more time to focus on employees and other HR functions needed the most. I love the fact that I do not have to worry about taxes being paid timely. Paylocity pays state and federal taxes in a timely manner and that helps me when I have to send information to the auditors.
With Community I am able to send employees messages about important information pertaining to the firm. I add holidays that we may be closed. Recognize birthdays and anniversaries throughout the firm. I can also recognize employees for their accomplishments like promotions or doing their jobs extremely well. Staying engaged with my staff is very important. Paylocity helps make that easy with sending automated emails for birthdays and work anniversaries dates.
I have said several times that Paylocity system is user friendly and that is a major plus for me. Paylocity is also cost efficient which is always a great help because we are always looking for ways to save money. Customer service is a huge help because with some software I have used, once you purchase and receive the basic training that is it. With Paylocity and have always been available to help with any questions or problems I may have. They even offer additional features that are available that I do not use, but I may in the future.

I love the quick and easy customer service I receive from Paylocity every time I have to call them. Their system is very user friendly because when I first started using them over 7 years ago, I only had two days of training, and I was able to use the system on my own. This makes for an efficient working environment. Also, employees who use the time and labor system has little to no problem clocking in and out and finding things pertaining to them in the system. Customer Service and user friendly are very important to me.
