Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it for both payment from a vendor where I perform and also to sell merchandise to customers. It's been wonderful to be able to offer a way for a customer to pay me without cash. Also, for businesses that hire me, they can pay with a credit card versus going through a lengthy process of invoicing, then sending a check and more. It has saved me time and has saved them time as well. It's easy to access on my phone so I don't even need the card reader anymore. I'm so glad that I have this option as it has increased sales for me.

If you only have an option of sliding a credit card through a card reader, it can keep showing errors
It would be nice to have a ready made receipt available to email the customer after purchase

I like that I can punch in a credit card's number instead of sliding with a card reader

Alternatives Considered

Stripe

I actually use both but for the purchases where I'm on the go and at a concert, PayPal Zettle is better for me. Stripe works great for my courses online but again if I'm selling a product or service that is a one time deal and in the moment, it's so much easier for me to simply enter the information, make the payment and not have to set up invoicing or subscriptions, etc. Again, I actually like both for different reasons. I think it's wise to have a number of ways to take payments when you are running your own business.

Honestly, It has been fabulous for me as a musician at a live concert. Just recently, I played a gig where the person wanted to pay me with a biz credit card and it makes it so smooth to be able to do it right there--even before the concert begins. Plus, they can get a receipt emailed to them right away so all the proper paperwork is taken care of. I can do my gig with ease and know I'm already paid.
The only place I can think of at the moment where it might be less appropriate is if a church asked for money with people coming around with this app. But otherwise, I think it can definitely improve your business profits.
