Overall Satisfaction with Read&Write

I work for a K-12 school district as a Technology Integration Specialist. Our K-12 students and staff have access to the Read&Write toolbar, and use a variety of the tools for different purposes based on the need and the age of the child.
  • Voice to text
  • Reads text aloud
  • Screen masking
  • Simplifies screen
  • Provides dictionaries (pictures & word definitions)
  • Hover speech
  • Word prediction - we have to have a separate subscription for Co:Writer to get the enhanced features
  • Makes learning accessible for students with special needs
  • Makes learning more accessible for all students
  • Improves teaching/learning for staff and for classrooms as a whole
We don't have to contact the support team very often, but when we do they are responsive!
The Read&Write toolbar is a universal design for learning tool, allowing learning to be accessible for all staff and students, regardless of where they are working and on what device. It means a lot to us to have such a tool available.
We haven't looked at other tools, but we do use Co:Writer, as well. We have looked at Equatio.

Very well suited for our older students (secondary). Also very well suited for many elementary students, in different ways! The tools in which would be used at different levels vary on age and on need and purpose.
