Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
I am a consultant for a company using Sage Intacct. It is being used across the company, primarily for accounting. Sales information is being tracked outside of the program. The business problems it addresses are managing A/R and A/P, and financial reporting (monthly reporting package). My focus has been on the financial reporting aspect and it's proven useful and user-friendly in that area.
- Reporting - once a user becomes familiar with the reporting tools of Sage Intacct, the reporting module can be very powerful and provide a lot of information.
- Ease of Journal Entry Input - Sage Intacct provides journal entry templates that make uploading journal entries easy and quick.
- Order Entry module - we use this module to track item sales and purchases. Setting up items and linking them to GL accounts is fairly easy.
- Enabling custom reporting from more than one module. Sage Intacct is broken into various modules (A/R, A/P, Order Entry, General Ledger, etc.). To write reports for these modules, the system is only capable of reporting on one module at a time. This is usually acceptable; however, at times we want to report on a combination of the order entry and accounts receivable module. This is not possible under the current configuration. It would be helpful if the two modules could somehow be linked together for reporting purposes.
- From my perspective, the primary return Sage Intacct is providing is its reporting capability. I unfortunately don't use many other modules so can't speak to them.
I believe it has.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (formerly Microsoft Dynamics CRM)
I haven't used Microsoft Dynamics extensively. But Dynamics is held on a local server (I believe) while Sage Intacct is web-based. Using Sage Intacct has been useful because I work remotely and as a result, I don't have to VPN into the local office to use the program. Sage Intacct also has powerful reporting tools that seem to be more user friendly than Dynamics.
