Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage in our Accounting Department for transaction-level accounting. It helps us manage a high volume of invoices, bank activity, as well as payroll accounting, on top of our accruals and general journal entries. Within our accounting department, we also use the reports to analyze activity, reconcile accounts, and organize information.
  • Connects with 3rd party platforms well. This is useful, as most businesses have unique challenges that require some level of specialized software.
  • Intuitive interface: it is fairly easy to navigate, even for less experienced users. This saves employees time.
  • Easy to import and export information.
  • More customization for reporting would be helpful.
  • better error reports would help solve problems faster
  • I cannot speak to that.
We have benefited from A/P and A/R automation. It helps save our A/P accountant time while making sure we are current with our vendors. We use other systems for order management. We also have a low volume of Receivables, but Intacct worked well for our A/R process for the routine items.
N/A for my experience
They are both comparable, in my experience.
I'd say it depends on the size of the company and the range of operations. Intacct (as I know it), seems to be good for medium-sized companies that aren't in need of ERP systems. Sage Intacct is well-suited for working from home, as well, as it is accessible online. I think there are probably easier solutions for smaller companies, but Sage does seem to scale up well.

COVID-19 Updates & Changes

I helped integrate Black Line and Bill.com. I found the integrations useful and time-saving, and the process of integrating wasn't too difficult. In the case of Bill.com, the integration was pretty seamless. Our team had also integrated SAP Concur and a few restaurant back office systems (Brink, Micros, Toast, Aloha). IS handled these integrations- and generally these worked well.
My organization was able to adjust to the COVID-19 pandemic easily, from a systems standpoint. Intacct being an online platform meant our GL Accountants could work from home as needed, without changing any processes. This was really helpful for our team.
