Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
The accounting and finance teams use Sage Intacct as our core financial system. There are several users across all departments within the organization that have access to Sage Intacct to view P&L's and general ledgers as needed.
- The software is very intuitive.
- It has a wide variety of third-party add-ons.
- Sage Intacct has given our users the ability to run real-time financials without relying on the accounting team to generate reports.
- The dashboards are bit challenging to get set up and working properly.
- You can add customizations to the software using smart rules that are used for data validation. For example, you can restrict general ledger postings to certain accounts or department combinations. This is a great function; however, it is a cumbersome process and requires coding experience in order to set up properly.
- When we were evaluating software solutions, we wanted something that would make the accounting team more efficient and would also give business users access to self-service reporting. Sage Intacct checks both of those boxes for us.

We have implemented Nexonia for credit card transaction reporting. Once a credit card report is approved in Nexonia, it's imported directly to the general ledger. This has made our credit card expense reporting much more efficient, as our accounting team now has more time to review reports for accuracy instead of rushing through to post to the general ledger each month. We have not automated AP, AR, or order management.
- Acumatica, NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance
Before switching to Sage Intacct we were using Microsoft Dynamics Solomon. We started evaluating software solutions in 2016 and looked at NetSuite, Acumatica, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance. NetSuite had more bells and whistles than we needed. I was really impressed with some of the reporting capabilities in Acumatica; however, some of the other core financial features were less impressive. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance was just rolling out and while we liked the functionality, some of the core financial features weren't available in the initial release.
Sage Intacct stood out from the beginning. We had our team members sit through the customized demos to get their input on products. The feedback we received from the team members all pointed to implementing Sage Intacct.
