Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Great product, much better than QuickBooks overall. The issue we had with QuickBooks - > It was not conducive for multiple entity accounting and consolidations. Intacct solves this issue; we use Intacct to do the accounting for a parent partnership that has multiple entities it owns, so for consolidation accounting purposes, this is a good accounting system that displays the consolidated total balance sheet and income statements as well as standalone ability when you want to get the balance sheet of the subsidiary; the reports within Intacct are highly customizable. When you are onboarding to Intacct please ensure you understand what you want (i.e. dynamic allocations?) and discuss if you need extra modules to get what you want with your sales rep. We use the basic version - no extra modules however, other businesses may benefit from the dynamic allocation module add-on.
- Pricing - fair pricing relative to competitors.
- Good uptime - no slowdowns, no downtime to note. I have used this program for several years. Outages are not a thing.
- Not buggy - Intacct doesnt allow you to upload buggy data. It spits out error messages that tell you exactly what to fix.
- Customizable - Reporting is customizable and you can place your recurring custom templates in your favorites section for ease of access.
- Good Help - the help button at the top right of each webpage goes to the overview of how the system works. It has answered all my questions which is handy when you want to get work done fast and an answer fast.
- Untagged entries could be more easily seen in the reports.
- Allocations split the debits up by the allocated amount would be nice to run GL unallocated so we can get unbroken out debits.
- Fast reporting - when partners ask for reports, we can generate them fast.
- Consolidated and standalone financial reports.
- Customizable financial reports.
N/a - We elected to manually load data into Intacct as we do not have as much activity as other companies and generally do quarterly reporting.
We got Intacct for the multi-entity accounting. It is fantastic at it. We switched from Quickbooks and it has been a wonderful experience.
