Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We were beginning to outgrow Sage 50 and were looking for future proofing the business.
Sage Intacct has multiple Dimensions and Account Groups for reporting purposes. I use these on custom dashboards to allow analysis at the touch of a button.
In addition to this we have also started to use the statistical journal entries to monitor non financial aspects of the business. Going forwrad for reporting on ESG factor this will be very handy.

We have multiple companies and will be looking at consolidation accounts in the future. This is now ready to go at the click of a button as there is a Top Level in Sage Intacct that allows you to look at all your companies at once.
  • Reporting
  • Dashboards
  • Statistical data
  • Fixed Asset register - not UK friendly
  • Vat codes - too many
We use multi currency. In reports this automatically converts using current exchange rates to GBP - something that Sage 50 did not do.
This gives a better overiew of how mcuh funds the business has as well.
We used an external implementation team. This was helpful, but we still did not get exactly what we wanted out of reporting aspects and this is something we are looking at ourselves to set up formats the way we want them.It can be tricky to get a report correct, but once the reports are set up correctly they work exceptionally well.
We have never used anything like Sage Intacct before and it was quite a jump from Sage 50.
I am not sure what else is like it in the marker as it is not like anything else I have come across.
When we started looking for a new system we initially went to Sage to see what other solutions they offered and decided it was for us.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

If reporting is one of the main reasons you struggle with the current systems you are on then I would highly recommend Sage Intacct. The reporting is really what you make it, as it has a custom report designer and can make reports using Dimensions or Account Groups. If you have various companies under one Vat number this would also be handy as this could be run at Top Level rather than manually add vat returns together.
