Overall Satisfaction with Semrush
Semrush keeps our SEM and SEO teams in sync with each other and provides a wealth of keyword, technical, and competitor intelligence. We previously used Semrush as an 'add-on' for other tools, but it has transitioned to our primary tool. An enterprise-level account has the added advantage of API access, which is another great feature of Semrush. We also use the organic research component very frequently to find out information about our own domain, as well as competitors'. The SEM team uses the paid search intelligence modules in Semrush to gain competitor knowledge as well as industry benchmarks.
- Competitor intelligence
- API access
- Organic keyword research
- Limits of account (ie. # keywords, etc)
- Distinction between projects and research
- Competitor identification
- API Access
- Keyword ranking tracking
- Technical audit reporting
- Allowed us to track market share against competitors.
- Allowed us to cut back on paid search where we are already ranking for organic.
- Allowed us to increase ads for areas where competitors outrank us.
Semrush is hands down much better than Moz. It has much more data and is also much easier to navigate. Ahrefs and Semrush are a bit more evenly matched. Semrush definitely has the edge when it comes to keyword intelligence, but I love Ahrefs for the backlinking data, as well as the technical auditing.
