Overall Satisfaction with SendBird

We used SendBird instead of Stream.io to integrate a chat support experience into a health IT app.
  • Moderation around comments & chats.
  • SendBird UIKit was super helpful for the design team.
  • Our devs raved about the API documentation being so thorough & easy to follow.
  • Pricing can get expensive once you go over the 100 MAU limit for the Developer tier.
  • Easy to use chat (asynchronous & synchronous).
  • Using SendBird has decreased the number of support calls to where we were able to hold off on increasing our customer support team's headcount.
  • Customers have raved about having the chat functionality to review & assess their healthcare options without having to call in.

I would absolutely recommend SendBird to others who are looking for a chat solution. I know it also has the ability to have in-app calls & video + a support product line, but for our use case, we only used it for a chat. In hindsight, it may have been better for us to use Stream.io instead given the limited needs we have but thought SendBird had better recognition & reliability when compared to Stream.io
