Slack has great developer community support, since it's democratised its API support & documentation are widely available, so as a developer, I can develop the features on inbuilt SDKs & publish my features which is great plus to Slack. It also provides bot communication, so it is very easy create our own automations.

Slack works perfectly when you want to chime in the conversation very quickly with peers & external entity stakeholders. We can pin the self messages as the save records. Provides great flexibility to the audio, video calls with screen sharing features. At times it lags a bit with slight delays in communications, resulting in poor customer experience. It also lags in saving the self pinned messages.
