Overall Satisfaction with GEP SMART

GEP delivers comprehensive spend, sourcing, and procurement solutions to our Supply Management team. Their SMART system provides visibility to material spend globally and standardizes our quotation and contract processes throughout all our diverse businesses.

  • Would like to see functionality improvements in better automatic communication of information between modules (e.g. Spend, Supplier, Contract, etc.)
The GEP SMART solution has enabled us to have one platform solution across our different business units and geographic regions for our supply chain operating system. As a supply management team, the SMART solution allows us to measure our supplier performance with consistent data.
  • GEP SMART has improved our spend analytics speed by allowing analysis to be completed in minutes compared to days when we previously used Excel spreadsheets.
  • The SMART Sourcing (RFX) solution has greatly improved the consistency of our supplier quoting and information gathering process.
GEP SMART has great spend analysis, as well as sourcing capabilities. The contract module still can improve in efficiency.
We implemented a phased approach - one module at a time per quarter. Over the course of 12 months, we implemented four modules. This measured approach enabled us to have a global team implementation and provided us the opportunity to increase the adoption rate for a module before implementing the next.
We have a number of different ERP systems in our operations around the world. We are able to pull in data from them to the SMART cloud and report out in a variety of different ways. It is tremendously more efficient than our previous process.
GEP SMART is very efficient. With pre-designed templates loaded into the modules, it is a large time-saver to issue RFxs and complete spend analysis.
We explored and assessed a few other supply management operating systems, and GEP SMART provided the best value for us.
We have a number of different businesses and ERP systems. GEP SMART has enabled us to achieve visibility of our spending and the ability to implement consistent supply chain practices across our various businesses.
