Simple solution that works well.
Overall Satisfaction with SMTP2GO
It is used both internally to relay important notices from our internal systems such as monitoring and customer-facing services such as our hosted VOIP systems. It is also used by some of our clients to allow easy setup of scanning from printers and other devices that need to send emails and have issues with the new security placed around the full email services.
Pros
- Ease of use
- Reliability
- Reporting
Cons
- The search feature in reporting can be finicky
- More feedback on bounces
- Ease of set-up
- Reporting of issues
- Reliability
- Much less time setting up and maintaining then a relay through your mail system.
- Multiple logins allow us to track and disable accounts as needed which improves security.
- Easy to use reporting helps to troubleshoot issues when they do occur.
The small cost for an account is saved many times over in man-hours by not having to monitor or maintain the system. We sell the services that are using the relay and rather spend time improving and supporting those services than worrying about email delivery. The client considers a service down if any point fails, so say the phone system records the voicemail but the email about it fails, or the RMM system determines a server is down but we don't get the alert, We still look bad so a reliable delivery service is an important part of a solution.
