Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor
SolarWinds is being used to monitor the servers on our VMware system. It reports when a server is having problems and allows us to fix the problems quicker than waiting for the users to report an outage. SolarWinds will normally point to the server that is not working, whereas when the users report an outage we must hunt for what the problem really is.
- If a server is down or not responding SolarWinds will tell us exactly which server needs attention.
- When a switch goes down or loses connection SolarWinds will tell us so we can have the network group fix the problem.
- SolarWinds does not provide much help with slow response problems.
- Much improved up time.
