Overall Satisfaction with Squarespace

Squarespace is a DIY WYSIWYG website creation tool. Small business owners can tackle the moderate learning curve and be well on their way to a modest website in a matter of hours. It's very simple to choose a theme, input content and go live online, and of course, it's quite cost-effective. While I tend to refer my clients to better tools, Squarespace is the fallback for budget-wary customers and startups who just want to go live with their brand and message.
  • Down to earth setup and content management.
  • Affordable.
  • Easy updates.
  • Squarespace is by design limited in flexibility.
  • There is a modest learning curve, but nothing you can't tackle.
  • Margins are thin when it comes to building web properties for mom and pop shops. Squarespace allows us an affordable fallback.
  • WordPress, Bootstrap, Foundation, Twig and Craft
Squarespace is used for the small cost-sensitive projects. For functionality and flexibility we use WordPress. For full customizability, we use a custom framework or a Craft workflow.
Use Squarespace for a quick and simple website when you don't know or want to learn basic coding and hosting concepts.
